Stephanie Thoreson is writer, comedian, actor, and producer based in Los Angeles by way of Austin, TX.

 

With over a decade of experience in sketch and improv comedy, she is a graduate of both The Second City (Hollywood) and ColdTowne Theater (ATX) conservatory programs, shared a 5 year sold-out residency with award-winning Armando improv team Loverboy, and has written and performed in multiple solo shows, sketch showcases, plays, and more. As a character performer and Loverboy improvisor, she has opened for comedians like Parker Posey, Scott Adsit, Jim Rash, and James Adomian. 

 

Stephanie is one half of Baby Lion Studios, the independent production team behind the ensemble sitcom Wind-Ups, for which she served as head writer. She plays the lead in the feature Good Feels on Wheels which received multiple awards during its festival run, including three “Best Actress” wins for Stephanie’s portrayal of Opal in the film.

Her most recent project Getting Along is a sitcom-style comedic play inspired by iconic 90's television tropes and dialogue-driven, screwball romances. 

After 5 years with her Texas agency Collier Talent, Stephanie is actively seeking LA representation as a writer and performer, and is currently in the process of pitching Wind-Ups for development.
