Stephanie Thoreson is a writer, comedian, producer, and actor originally from the Texas hill country, who cut her teeth in the Austin film and comedy scenes for nearly a decade before relocating to LA.

 

She is one half of Baby Lion Studios, the independent production team behind the ensemble sitcom Wind-Ups, for which she served as head writer. She plays the lead in the feature Good Feels on Wheels which received multiple awards during its festival run, including three “Best Actress” wins for Stephanie's portrayal of Opal in the film. She also plays Dawn, an ill-fated camper met with a gory one-two punch of a death scene in the Shudder original horror-comedy anthology Scare Package.

 

A graduate of multiple sketch and improv programs including The Second City (LA), Stephanie previously shared a 5 year sold-out residency with her award-winning improv team Loverboy and has written and performed in multiple solo shows, sketch showcases, plays, and more. As a character performer and Loverboy improvisor, she has opened for comedians like Parker Posey, Scott Adsit, and Jim Rash. 

Her most recent project Getting Alonga sitcom-style comedic play inspired by iconic 90's television, premiered last year at The Elysian Theater in east LA.
